OceanPlanet Energy, with its manufacturing partner Solbian, believe customization starts with the specific requirements of each application. Our custom flexible solar panels can be adapted in shape, size, electrical layout, colors and various finishes to meet a wide range of applications. They can be mounted and removed with ease thanks to several accessories, and they adapt to various structures, whether curved, weight-sensitive or space-constrained.
Teamed with designers at Solbian, our technical sales specialists at OceanPlanet Energy will develop a plan to build solar panels to accommodate almost any oddly shaped spaces outside of the standard stock panel dimensions.
Wire Exits
The customization process can include specific placement of backside wire exits to coordinate with internally built wire conduits, or preferred placement for ease of installation. Other wire exit options include topside junction boxes, and monopolar junction boxes.
Appearance
Solbian custom solar panels are built not only for performance but also to visually integrate with their surroundings.
- Backsheet options: white for maximum contrast and cooler performance, black for a clean, discreet look, or transparent to let underlying surfaces show through.
- Frontsheet options: a variety of finishes, including glossy for a sleek, easy-to-clean surface, matte to reduce glare, and textured for comfortable, walkable areas.
- ISP masking technology: modifies the appearance of panels, enabling the integration of logos, colors, and full-surface patterns without significantly impacting performance. ISP panels use color pigmented nanocoating to hide cells and blend seamlessly into your boat’s aesthetic.

We offer several fixing options for a secure installation on any surface or application:

Email us to begin your custom solar project! We will ask for photos of your proposed installation to review conflicts regarding shading or obstructions. Once an appropriate solar area is determined, we will collect dimensions and provide you with a preliminary cost estimate. Accurate drawings and /or templates of the areas will be required. Solbian can then provide preliminary drawings including solar cell placement, wire configurations, and estimated wattage. OceanPlanet Energy’s technical sales team will work with you to refine the designs until they are ready for production
